An interesting thriller in which Gideon Fitzgerald’s murder case keeps getting more complicated. A lot of hidden secrets unfold as the investigation dives deeper. The shocking revelations in the plot add to the fun as I couldn’t help wondering what the next chapter would be like. Despite the twists and turns in the story, I didn’t get lost or confused. The story was straightforward and concise. The author adds a pinch of humor and romance to the novel, which I enjoyed. I must note that although the novel was primarily about solving a crime, there was no use of violence. Love, betrayal, crime, greed, and sacrifice were the major themes. Sultry is one of the books you should add to your bookshelf, especially if you like crime novels. Great job, Dr. Sandra Tanner.
